Good architecture is about more than just building design - good architecture is about understanding the people who use the building and the type of environment they want to create in their building. Good architecture is also about getting the project finished on time and within budget to the satisfaction of the client. Registered Architect - A protected term In New Zealand, it is illegal for an individual to use the term "Architect" in the context of the design, documentation or construction of buildngs unless that person is New Zealand Registered Architect. Registration is earned through a combination of academic qualifications, considerable practical experience and rigorous examination. Only when a very high standard has been reached can architects be recognised as possessing the necessary level of knowledge, technical competence, responsibility and integrity to practice as a member of the profession by the New Zealand Registered Architects Board (NZRAB).  |
